This tour takes you on a trip in a minivan with room for eight guests (or seven if a tour guide is joining you). The program starts with a visit to an organic goat farm, where the farmer will explain how he grows and milks his goats to produce fresh goats cheese. Of course we will also taste some cheeses of different ages, matched with some beautiful regional wines. This gets us in the mood for the second visit, to a wine grower who will receive us and give us a tour of his vineyards (or grape fields, if you prefer!). He’ll also explain at length how you use these grapes to make de best tasting wines.
Again, a tasting is in order. This time the wines will be accompanied by a typical Burgundy ‘machon’ lunch, with sausage, cheese, some pickles and fresh vegetables. A scenic drive through the Beaujolais area with famous ‘crus’ villages like Fleury, Morgon and Moulin à Vent, concludes the day. If you’re still up to it, we can also include e second wine tasting at one of the Beaujolais ‘châteaux’. In any case, it’s your holiday, and within the allotted time everything can be changed or added to make sure you get the most out of your Beaujolais trip.
