Have you ever driven a moped? Or do you prefer to play it safe with an electrical bike or scooter? In any case, we’ll get the whole group mounted on individual motorized transport vehicles for a discovery of the famous Mâconnais wine region.
We’ll ride along the river Saône and up into the hills to explore the vineyards. Here we find a passionate vintner (vigneron) who will tell us about the history of his family business, the making of wine, the fine points of the AOC classification and the close bond he feels with his wines and the ‘terroir, the plots of lands where he grew up, together with his vine plants.
We’ll take ample time to enjoy his company and his best wines, and will take a country man’s lunch in his garden or in the family kitchen.
As an option, we can leave the bikes or mopeds behind for an afternoon bus tour to the archeology and geology museum at the famous Solutré Rock that gave its name to a prehistoric era.
